Erin Deitzler, M.Ed., LPC
Erin is a native West Virginian with a Master’s Degree in Education specialized in School Counseling from Kent State University. Upon graduation in 2008, Erin relocated to Portland, Oregon and began her career as a school counselor in a rural school district nestled in an agricultural community. Personal and professional life in Oregon provided not only exposure to diverse populations but also multicultural needs in counseling.
Erin returned to West Virginia in 2012 and continued clinical requirements while working as a school-based clinician at Westbrook Health Services in St. Mary’s and school counselor at Williamstown High School. In 2018, marriage prompted relocation to Columbus where she treated clients collaboratively in the school environment as a Licensed Professional Counselor. New opportunities brought Erin home to West Virginia to serve the Mid-Ohio Valley. Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Exposure-Response Prevention (ERP) and Person-centered therapies are used to address the psychological and physical discomfort that accompany various mental conditions.
Specialties include anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) but counseling services for depression, ADHD, and other disorders in children and adults are also provided. Erin is dedicated to helping clients heal and navigate life’s complexities including loss, transitions, stress, LGBTQ+ related concerns, and more.
Erin enjoys hiking, exploring the outdoors with her husband and German Shepherd, healthy eating, and teaching/practicing yoga.
